Steve Heyer And His Marvelous Contribution To Football
In order for an aspiring player to do well in playing American football, there are certain qualities that he must possess. Aside from having the physical strength to tackle the big men of the opposing team, skills and great tactics must also be shown in order to win the game strategically. Because of these requirements, many consider football as one of the most challenging sports in the world. However, there are already a number of American football players who are able to display all these wonderful qualities. One of these is no other than Steve Heyer.
Many avid fans of the NFL will definitely recognize who Stephon Heyer is. This man has been playing in the NFL for years and has successfully played his part as an offensive tackle. Stephon Heyer is considered by many football critics as a great team player. He has been excelling in sports ever since he was just in high school, which is why he has already been a target by many recruiters. When Steve Heyerwas born on January 16, 1984, in the city of Lawrenceville, Georgia, he grew up as a huge kid who was already interested in playing football. Because of his promising skills and huge built, Stephon Hayer has been one of the favorites of many colleges in different states. Soon after he graduated high school from Brookwood High, he immediately received a lot of offers to join their school. Some of these include Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Ohio and Auburn. However, when it was time for Heyer to decide, he went to Maryland in order to study and start his college football career.
Heyer’s college football career went to a tremendous start. Even if he was just a freshman, he was still able to play for the school’s team and has appeared in 13 games. Aside from this, the performance of Heyer was quite impressive since he was one of the players who were able to get only a few penalties. During his second year, he continued to play for Maryland and this time, he was already awarded as the second best lineman of the season. Nonetheless, in his junior year, Stephon Heyer was already able to get the top spot. Aside from playing college football, Stephen Heyer also participated in many tournaments outside school. He was even invited by the team of ESPN to join in the 2007 Hula Bowl. This was the mark of Stephon Heyer’s end in playing college football. Nevertheless, Stephon Heyer still finished his studies and education and was able to graduate from Criminal Justice and Criminology.
Nowadays, Stephon plays in the NFL for the Oakland Raiders. He has been part of the team for years; however, the Redskins were considered to be his first team in the NFL.
